Client: Life Insight
Project: Digital Marketing Strategy, WordPress Website Redesign, & SEO
Prior to doing a website redesign, I worked with the client to craft a digital marketing strategy. After looking through load time, traffic funnels, time on page, and conversion on lead forms, it was clear that in addition to an optimized strategy, we wanted to overhaul the website to make it more user friendly.
Lifestyle branding isn't limited to specific industries. For the client, Life Insight, Hinsdale's premier counseling practice offering psychotherapy, mental health counseling, and coaching services, we wanted to create an uplifting lifestyle-based design with clean and easy user navigation. After all, therapy is about crafting your best lifestyle to be your best self. It is a lifestyle.
We started this project with a blog template and narrowed it down based on code quality. After fully customizing the menu, rotating header, and many other functions on the homepage, the theme now services a business site. The benefit to going this route, as opposed to choosing a theme created for health and wellness brands, is that few—if any—businesses in the client's field will have a site that looks similar. Life Insight can truly offer new users a customized feel that is both intuitive and unlike any other therapist site they've seen before.
Now, new users can easily find several call-to-action options for services and therapist profiles, or go straight to scheduling an appointment.
Not nearly as sexy, but still very necessary, we revamped the URL structure to focus on geo specific long tail keywords that allow the client to rank organically. We also added a new stylized and customized lead form to several pages—almost double the amount of pages from the previous site—for better conversions and ROI.
Many websites in the counseling industry opt for images that feature people looking pained or sad. Much like choosing a blog theme or a lifestyle feel, we wanted to go against the grain, opting for inspiring images that exude hope, health, and wellness. To match this, we used warm marigold, blush pinks, and charcoal gray colors throughout the site. This new look and feel is inviting for new users.
