In my mind, I love sweater weather. In reality, I hate the cold, and I'm pretty sure I resemble the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man 99% of the winter. Not to mention, it's the season where my hair gets tangled into a giant knot along with my scarf, jacket, sweater, and possibly a lost hair tie or two.
To leave my Stay Puft look behind, the perfect sweater is one that is fitted but leaves room for layering. Small details are a must, and this season I'm obsessed with embroidery and bobble accents.

For travel, I love a lightweight sweater. Throw a jacket or vest on when it's cold in and out of the airport or remove layers once you get on your flight.
While I love Southwest and fly with them the most #companionpass, the planes always feel oddly warm. One flight, I made the mistake of wearing my favorite fleece (last seen here) without anything under it. I essentially boiled down into the grumpiest human ever #sorrytothepersonnexttome. Lesson learned: lightweight sweaters to the rescue.
The feminine floral detailing of this sweater adds a unique flavor to a classic mock neck. Dress it down with jeans and slip-on sneakers for travel or dress it up with black motto leggings and a pair of kitten heels for dinner dates.
There have been several instances when I've gone from airport to an immediate dinner, which makes this sweater absolutely clutch for on-the-go outfit changes that don't require a lot of fuss, especially when you're exhausted from a long flight.
Wear it year-round, even in the spring and summer on those cooler nights. The floral detail gives it a spring feel, while the cool, pastel colors give it a fall/winter palette. It's the best of all seasons.
